WASHED OVERBOARD FROM BOAT. COMPANION'S BRAVE EFFORT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, this day. A young fisherman, Alexander Nelson (20), was washed overboard from his boat off Turihaua Beach, and though his companion, Reginald Hart, made a gallant effort at rescue Nelson was drowned. He was hampered by the fact that he was wearing two pairs of trousers and heavy gum boots.
