TWO MEN DROWNED.

ACCIDENT AT NEW PLYMOUTH LAUNCH WRECKED ON BAR. CAPTAIN AND FISHERMAN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. At 10.30 this morning two men were drowned on the Waitara bar while enter, ing the river in the launch Swan. They were Captain Halcrow, Waitara, of the auxiliary ketch Kapui, and A. Allen, fisherman, of New Plymouth. The engineer of the Kapui took out the ketch, but without success. Wreckage from the launch has come ashore.
