HIS ANNUAL "FLING."
London hides many strange stories, but none stranger than that of the man who is a gentleman of leisure for one day in the year only. Every year on a certain date a well-dressed young man occupies a room at a fashionable West End hotel. He is obviously a man of means. He eats and drinks at the best places, strolls leisurely like one wiio has no work or worries, and visits the theatre after dinner at his expensive hotel. In the morning lie pays his bill and leaves the hotel. And he is not seen there again until exactly a year has passed. Then he reappears and enjoys the same routine, as if yesLeiyear h»'l been but yesterday. On the other days of the year he is a provincial town navvy!
