TO RESTORE PROSPERITY.
FIRMS SHOULD ADVERTISE. "Britain has a chance," said Sir Charles Hingham, at a recent public function in London, "to capture her markets at home, and to capture a good share of the business abroad, but makers of British goods must tell the world what they .make and the public why they should buy them. Those who would succeed," he said, "must make use of the newspapers. Above all it is the Press that returns the best results to the advertiser." Lord Leverhulme, speaking at the same gathering, said:—"Advertising is to the whole .business what the powerhouse is to the factory—the force that sets in motion and keeps in motion the wheels of distribution by creating demand."
