RUGBY FOOTBALL.
NEWTON CLUB. The annual general meeting of the Newlon Rugby Football Club was held on Thursday. Mr. J. Todd presided over a good attendance of players and friends. Election of ollicers : Patron, Mr. W. Wright; president, Mr. IC. ,T. Ilennie; lion, auditor, Mr. C. 11. Kdenborougli; secretary and treasurer, Mr. Strad. Marten ; club captain and coach, Mr. A. Clarke; management committee, Messrs. K. J. Kcnnie, R. Geard, G. KatclllTe, W. Hammond, .T. Crookail, J. Portcous, S. Marten; delegate to A.R.U., Mr. Strad. Marten; delegate to .T.M.H., Mr. J. Portcous. Mr. C. Campbell, late captain of the first junior team, donated a gold incdal for the most improved player in the club for 1032 season. THAMES VALLEY UNION. At the annual meeting of the Thames Valley Rugby Union, at Pacroa, on Thursday, delegates were present from the Pacroa, Hauraki Plains, Wailii and Tc Aroha Sub-unions. Mr. C. S. Foster, president, was in the chair. Mr. W. Paul, formerly of Wailii and now a resident of Auckland, was elected a life honorary member of the union. Mr. W. Moore was elected the union's delegate on the Thames Valley Referees' Association.
