CATCHES FUGITIVE MAN. HUDDLED "UNDER BED. VAIN DASH FOR LIBERTY. (By Telegraph.—rress Association.) WELLINGTON, this clay. In putting away some clothes in the bedroom of her house, Mrs. Catherine M. Hyde, of Palmer Street, noticed a pair of boot® sticking- out from under the bed. She found they belonged to a man huddled up at the head of the bed. He came out and asked her to let him go, but she went to the telephone to ring the police. He made a rush out of the door, but she chased him, caught him, brought him back and detained him at the house till the police arrived.
The man was remanded to-day on a charge of being a rogue and vagabond. An indictable charge will probably be preferred, the police stated.
