LABOUR AT HOME. Mr. Mac Donald's Attack on Former Colleagues. FAILED AT TIME OF TEST. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 12.30 p.m.) • LONDON, March 31. Mr. Mac Donald, writing in a new twopenny'' National Labour fortnightly called "The News Letter," sharply attacks the existing controllers of the Labour party. "They may live to fight another day," he says, "but I will never forget that at the time of great testing they turned tail and declined to do their duty.
"The National Government has enlivened the spirit of determination in our people to overcome difficulties. There is an improved industrial outlook. Ae regards free trade, the Government had to face the facts and take steps to balance the trade and protect our markets against cut-throat competition.
"On this matter the Labour movement was divided a long time, but the trend of opinion is towards some form of protection."
