i R.A.F. 'Planes Bomb North-West Frontier Tribes. WARNINGS UNHEEDED. I (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 12.30 p.m.) DELHI, March 9. ; The tribal raiders of the North- , West Frontier having refused to obey the air warnings, scores of their . villages wevc bombed by Air Force 'planes from Risalpur and Kohat. Several of the villages were wrecked and set on lire. Tribesmen, hidden in the mountains, directed a fierce fire on the aeroplanes, tlie pilots of which replied with machine guns. The bombing will continue until the raiders return to their mountain fortresses. FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA. LADY CHAYTOR FORCED DOWN. (Received 12 noon.) SOFIA, March 9. The machine in which Lady Chaytor and Air. R. T. Richards are flying to Australia was slightly damaged while making a landing at Sofia, the Bulgarian capital. The aviators were not hurt and will resume their flight next week. SCOTT TO TRY AGAIN. RECORD TO AUSTRALIA. Cabled advice has been received by the Shell Company, who are arranging fuel supplies, that Flying Officer Scott, one-time holder of the England-Australia record, is leaving London on March 19 in an attempt to regain the record at I present held by Mr. Butler. Mr. Scott I will fly a Gipsy Moth VH-UQA.
