PAPAKURA NEWS.

SITE FOR CHILDREN'S PLAT GROUND. At a conference of members of the tipakura Town Board and the Chamber of Commerce it was decided to recommend that the Town Board's section on the corner of Queen Street and Cole's Crescent be utilised for a children's playground. It is confidently believed that the money required will be readily subscribed by local residents. The chairman of the town board, Mr. D. Weir, said there remained little formation work to be carried out in the borough, and it would be a problem to provide work for the unemployed after a time. He suggested the levelling of a section on the corner of Great South Road and Chapel Street, and a recommendation is to bo forwarded to the Unemployment Board.
