MINER UNDER COAL AND STONE.

RESCUE AFTER TWO HOURS

GREYMOUTH, Monday.

A fall of coal and stone occurred in Grey and Party's co-operative coalmine at Dunollie to-day, when a man named Richard Skilton had a miraculous escape from severe injury. He was buried to the shoulders in the fall for two hours before being rescued by his mates. He was badly bruised, but was otherwiso unhurt.
