RAMO SCORES IN CUP. SHATTER'S KINLOCH HANDICAP. CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. Tho Banks Peninsula Racing Club's meeting was held to-day in dull weather. The light rain in town did not reach the racecourse, but no doubt reduced the attendance. The track was in fast order. The totalizator handled £0387, compared with £11,394 last year. After tho Kinloch Handicap a protest was lodged by R. Coveny, rider of the second horse, Taku Tama, against the winner, Shatter, getting the stake. He alleged tnat his mount was struck over the head a few yards from the post by Shatter's rider, D. O'Connor. The protest was dismissed, but O'Connor was fined £2 for careless riding.
