WAIAU DROWNING.

FARMER'S BODY RECOVERED. The body of Mr. Leslie John Fletcher, farmer, Bombay, who was drowned at Waiau Pa a week ago while spearing flounder, was found off Clark's beach at low water yesterday. Mr. C. R. Miller, who made the discovery, reported to the police, and Constable C. W. Powell recovered the body. An inquest was opened at v\ : aiau Pa before the district coroner, Mr. C. K. Lawrie, J.P., and adjourned sine die.
