FIRE AT MOUNT ALBERT.
TWO ROOMS OF HOUSE GUTTED. Two rooms of a five-roomed house at Allendale Road, Mount Albert, owned by Mr. J. Wallis, were gutted by fire about 2.30 this morning. The outbreak was attended by the Avondale brigade. The City brigade answered a false alarm to a foundry in Albert Street about 4.45 this morning. The call, which came through a street alarm box, was given by a man who said he thought he saw a fire inside the building, but on the arrival of the" brigade it was discovered to be only a reflection on the window.
