DOUBLE TRAGEDY.

MURDER AND SUICIDE ? MELBOURNE, January 20. David McKenzie. aged 50, and his wife, Margaret McKenzie, aged 53, were found dead in bed, shot in the head, in a fashionable house at Elwood. It is believed to be a case of murder and suicide. A pistol was found at McKenzie's side. He had recently bought the weapon. The couple were in good financial circumstances and were devoted to each other. The motive is a mystery.
