COMPANY AFFAIRS.
BIRKENHEAD GAS. DIVIDEND OF 4 PER CENT. A net profit of £1125 was earned by the' Birkenhead and Northcote Gas Company, Limited, for the year ended October 31, 1931. The sum of £2375 was brought forward from the previous year, making £3500 available for distribution. A dividend of 4 per cent has been paid on the ordinary shares and the usual 7 and 8 per cent on preference shaves respectively. Last year the company earned £1:109 and paid 5 per cent on ordinary shares.
