THEFTS IN THE WAIKATO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Wednesday. Charged with the thefts of a watch and moneys at Tatuanui, Douglas Hinau Moore, aged 21, was to-day sentenced to 12 months' reformative treatment. Accused admitted taking money from farmers' houses while canvassing for a Hamilton painting and decorating firm. The police mentioned that there were three previous convictions, two of theft and one of assault.
