PAPATOETOE TOWN BOARD

The Papatoetoe Town Board met last evening, Mr. W. J. Nicholson presiding. Recreation Ground.—Permission was granted to the Papatoetoe Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club to hold a sports afternoon on February 23, at the Recreation Ground. Overdue Rates. —The board decided to impose a 10 per cent penalty on all rates not paid by February 15. Water Rates.—Considering the application of a business establishment in the district for reduced water rates, the board approved the following scale: —First 5000 gallons, 2/ per thousand; next 30,000, 1/6 per thousand; in.excess, 1/ per thousand.
