The City Fire Brigade answered a call to a grocer's shop, owned by Thomas Bros, in Khyher Pass about 9 o'clock last night. A spark from the copper fire ' had set some small boxes and rubbish on the floor alight. Little damage was done. The brigade was called out this morning again about 9 o'clock to the back entrance of the Maple Furnishing Company, Symonds Street where some tar had boiled over and caught alight. No damage was [done.
