LONGEST VOYAGE IN. THE WORLD.

Mr. Lawrence G. Green writes in the "White Star Magazine": —"Thirty days in a. freighter from 2s T ew York to Capetown, is the longest unbroken voyage in the world to-day. For a month you steam across nearly seven thousand miles of open sea without a glimpse of land. There were a few other 'passengers—the inevitable missionary and his wife, two American business men and an American Consul, also an alluvial gold digger from Colorado. From the moment when we dropped the pilot at Sandy Hook to the day when we sighted Table Mountain, we saw only two ships. There were no deck games, no flirtations, and no strong drinks." •
