On& of the natives ■ cbmmenced snoring, while the other left tjie tent by passing under, the rear and :. pounced on the" visitor as he entered :; through the flap. . ,-sThe.natives trussed up the intruder, : a-man named Patrick O'Shannessey, and sent- for the police. ' jThe magistrate this morning imposed a sentence of six months' hard labour. He characterised the prisoner as a pest ; to the community, O'Sliannessey having ■ had several previous convictions.
