DESTRUCTIVE FROST.

It was stated at a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to-night that the recent heavy frost in the Roxburgh and Ettrick fruitgrowing districts, Central Otago, would involve the country in,the loss of £100,000 and that growers in the districts effected would lose £50,000 or £eO,OOO.
