RICCARTON HORSES.

THE AUCKLAND CONTINGENT. COMPRIS VERY WELL. P. V. MASON'S TEAM. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Although G. Murray Aynsley will not go to Auckland, his stable will be represented by Spoon, who will be taken north by her owner, Mr. G. P. Payne. She is in capital condition.

1. Lloyd has gone to Woodville with uay Lrest, lout le Mond, Adelphi, Desert bong and Royal Baby. They all look well and I expect them to get some money before they return home. Gay Crest and lout le Mond will do Auckland during the holidays, while the other three will be at Manawatu, followed by Marton or Wairarapa. _ (J. Davey took Compris and Invictus to Woodville as a preliminary to Auckland. They are in great order and Compris will take a power of beating when ever he starts. T. H. Gillett sent Gustavo north on Inday and will go on himself to-night. Gustavo will not run on the first day at' Woodville, where he appeared to have too much weight, but he may be seeii on the second day, as he needs racing. H. N. Wiggins will ride Mm in the Auckland Cup. ~ P. V. Mason has Jaloux and Azalea looking in the best of health for the Auckland trip, but they will not leave till later in the month. Possibly the two-year-old Deliee will accompany them. F. D. Jones will take Dunraven and Shatter to Auckland. They are very well. In view of their failures at Ashburton, Solvent and Juniper may not go north. J. H. Prosser has Great Star in the best of health for a trip to Auckland. There is a feeling here that he may take on the Auckland Cup, but I expect the Railway Handicap to be his mission.

Sir Charles Clifford has dropped the idea of sending some horses south for the holidays and he will confine his attentions to Manawatu and Wairarapa with Cricket Bat, Winsome Hind, Babel. Zeebrugge, Sailor's Love and Fleeting Glance as the team. G. Murray Aynsley will race Riri, Menrisant and Kakara at Dunedin, with Waikouaiti and Oamaru to follow. H. Nurse will take Charmeuse, Palace and Ringing Cheer to the Dunedin, Wyndham and Invercargill meetings C. Emerson will have Lochlagcfan, Martian Chief and the two-year-old Oratorious at the Dunedin meeting, while the firstnamed pair may then go on to Southland. F. Christmas has nominated Red Heckle, Convoy and Minerval for Dunedin, and he may then do Waikouaiti and Oamaru.
