BISHOP SHOT.
"CRIME" IN RUSSIA.
I ROME, December 1 j The Vatican has learned that Monsignor Massemo, a Russian orthodox bishop, was shot on July 6 for refusing to adhere to the acknowledgment of the Soviet made by the Metropolitan. Father Romano Medvied was sentenced to death on a similar charge, but the sentence was commuted to 10 years' imprisonment.
