The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board has received the following cable from its London office, dated November 27, adyising that the following are the approximate average prices realised for the week, based on actual" transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods offering during the week, being for business done on the basis of delivered to 'Smithfield market and/or ex London stores:— Sheep.—Canterbury and North Island selected crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, 48/561b, 4d per lb; 57/641b, 37sd--65/721b, 39id; North Island, 48/561b, 3%d: 57/641b, 3%d; 65/721b, 2%d; ewes, 481b and under, 3%d; 48/641b, 2%d; 65/721b, 2%d. Mutton: Wethers, demand improving, but prices unchanged. Ewes: Market dull, with very little interest. Beef: Weaker, through lower prices and large supplies of Argentine chilled beef. Deliveries, New Zealand, 1882 tons; in store, 3179 tons Australian: Salted, 102/ to 105/ (103/ to 106/); unsalted, 106/ to 110/ (106/ to 100/). Deliveries, Australian, 1550 tons; in store, 1075 tons.
