AUCKLAND AERO CLUB.
The clubhouso of the Aero Club, Mangere, was transformed into a bit of fairyland on Saturday evening, when the building was outlined with coloured electric lights and the lawns brilliantly illuminated with floodlights. A large number of visitors motored out to see tho fireworks, and an illuminated aeroplane kept slowly droning above the lawns. Miss Joyce Davidson "won third place in the tests for aviation scholarship of tho Cuvtiss pilot machine, several ladies being among the finalists. A large number of guests attended the dance which followed the brilliant display. Among those present were: Mrs. Spencer Mason, black lace and rhinestoncs; Mrs. E. Thwaitcs, cherry lace; Mrs. C. Andrew, flowered glace silk; Mrs. Alexander Bell, black satin, gold Orientar coatee; Mrs. C. Louisson, apple green fisch net; Mrs. Eric Yates, duchess blue satin; Mrs. H. J. Lambert, ivory tulle and gold tissue; Mrs. C. Williams, black and gold lame; Mrs. B. Grant, black lace; Mrs. D. Robertson, black crepe de soirj Mrs. W. C. Whitney, embossed georgette; Mrs. P. W. Owen, black chiffon;. Mrs. J. Seabrook, black lace and diamante; Mrs. IN T . C. Whitcombe, black Ohantilly lace; Mrs. JT. Chapman, flowered chiffon; Mrs. G. Eddowes, pastel green chiffon; Mrs. J. McCombic, geranium pink lace; Miss A. Thorne George, Lido bluo crepe fleuri: Miss M. Ferguson, white flounced tulle; Miss V. McCallum, floral net; Miss H. Seabrook, shell pink lischo net; Miss D. Cleland, white frilled glaca silk; Miss A. Lewis, fuchsia ninon, appliqucd with, violet petals; Miss T. Ogilvie, parchment glace silk; Miss M. Mears (Hamilton), jade green georgette; Miss E. Mitchell, pastel green satin; Miss Jean Fee, flowered chiffon; Miss G. Xewson, floral ninon; Miss B. Walker, shell pink georgette; Miss M.
