BUILDING SOCIETY.
OPERATIONS AT THAMES. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Friday. ' The twenty-fourth annual directors' report of the Thames Co-op. Terminating Building Society, as presented to a meeting of the shareholders last evening, showed total subscriptions since the society started of £79,167 6/9; appropriations of £125,987 2/1, redemptions of £93,473 16/3, and withdrawals of £50,729 17/8. The resignation of Mr. W. H. Lucas was accept with regret. He was an original member, and had been secretary for 24 years. The directors voted him an honorarium of £25 for services rendered. Applications for the position of secretary were received to the number of over 40, and it was decided that the directors should meet on Monday to make a choice. A ballot of No. 5 group resulted in No. 224 (J. H. Coad) becoming eligible to take £600. At a subsequent meeting of directors Mr. F. H. Claxton was re-elected chairman.
