(Received 1 p.m.)
PARIS, November .20,
"France will insist on the maintenance of the principle of her unconditional portion of the Young plan payments, and will not allow priority to be given to Germany's private debts," - said M. Pierre Laval, the French Premier, in the Chamber of Deputies. "Any new reparations arrangement can only be limited' to a period in which France wm accept a reduction pari passu at least equivalent to the reduction of the inter-Allied debts." M. Laval surveyed his .visits to Berlin, London ■ and Washington, declaring that although France's prestige is incomparable she does not aim at hegemony, but only to defend her ancient civilisation and to establish a real peace.
