CRICKET.
THE CHAMPIONSHIPS.
TO-MORROW'S MATCHES.
DECISIONS ON ONE DAY'S PLAY.
With the play restricted to one afternoon, as a result of postponement last Saturday through rain, the senior championship cricket matches at Eden Park and Devonport to-morrow afternoon should _ provide some interesting play. Indications are that the wickets will favour the batsmen more than in the previous month, being firm and more even and true in pace as a result of the rain having taken the fire out of them. Eden and Ponsonby will occupy No. 1 at Eden Park, and it is doubtful if these teams can reach any decision but a draw. On No 3 King's Old Boys should be tested by the Parnell attack, and in the event of the Old Boys having first knock Parnell should be able to force a decision. Likewise Grafton, on recent form, should be able to getting winning points against University on No. 2 wicket. At Devonport the competitors will be North Shore and Y.M.C.A. v ' Teams:— Y.M.C.A. Seniors.—Elliott, Prater, Lyon (2), Clark, A. Riddolls, Miller, Smith, Cooper, Sutherland, Webb. Senior B.—Paton, Rollins, Kemp, Carson, Banbury, Amos, R. Riddolls, Warneford, Organ, Sloan.

Ponsonby may have an interesting finale, as the old boys' score of 174 may yet not prove to be beyond the reach of Ponsonby, with 50 runs on for two wickets. Junior teams:— MOUNT ROSKILL.
