DEVONPORT RATEPAYERS.
An executive meeting of the Devonport Property-holders' Association was held last evening. Mr. D. W. McLean, who presided, urged a greater activity. Greater economies were required in civic administration and there was a greater need for a further reduction in rates. A resolution was carried urging the council to lease the land on which Munn House was situated, in order to provide extra revenue for the upkeep of the domains.
Committees were appointed to canvass for new members.
