An engagement is announced in England between Mr. Rowland Barnard, of Cairo, eon of the late Colonel W. A. M. Barnard, Grenadier Gua.rds, and the Hon. Eileen Plunket, daughter of the late Lord Plunket and Lady Victoria Braithwaite, of White House, Der.l-am, Bucks. Miss Plunket is a sister of the present Lord Plunket, the sixth baron, and has many friends in the Dominion, where she spent her childhood.
