The Merchant Shipping Act of 1804 shall cease to-be operative in the Dominions, thus giving to the Dominions from that date control over shipping in ana out of their ports. The Dominions will be given the power to establish and control their own Admiralty Courts. ,-.'•/, In British Columbia and in the maritime provinces great importance is attached to the provisions by which Canada will secure control of shipping.
