FATAL MOTOR SMASHES.
TWO INDIANS KILLED
WHITE MAN LOSES AN EYE

SUVA, October 21,
On Monday just after the serious business of the Suva Show had ended, two young residents, named . Eddie Storck and Bonniwell, met with a serious accident. Bonniwell was riding his motor cycle with Storck on the pillion. In turning a cycle ran into a ditch, and, while Bonniwell fell clear, Storck was thrown into the soapstone ditch with the cycle on top of him. As he lay stunned the red-hot exhaust burned into his right wrist,,and. burned the sinews through. He was rushed to tlie hospital, and it was found that he had sustained a fracture of the skull, besides a badly injured left eye, and other injuries; Since then his eye has been removed, and.his wrist, whichj both burned and broken, is giving senous cause for anxiety. Bonniwell escaped with bad braises and a broken rib. . While a motor lorry was running on the Navuci Road it skidded, when trying to pass another vehicle, and ran across on to the grass, where two adxilt Indians were taking refuge from the cars One man, Paragas Maharaj, was. kdled.and the other, Ram Jiawan, was taken to the Ixospital, but succumbed* to his injuries.
