GREAT MOTOR SHOW.
Many Novelties at Olympia Exhibition. TREMENDOUS ADVANCE MADE. LONDON, October 15. A private view of the Olympia Motor Show, which will be officially opened to-morrow, reveals a tremendous advance in the, industry in face of the world depression. It is at present on the crest of a wave' of prosperity, aided by heavy inquiries from abroad, in view of the cheaper pound sterling. Many of these inquiries are from countries which hitherto were a closed market.
In addition the protection of the McKenna dutiee allowed tho" industry virtually to capture the home market, which continues to expand in a surprising manner. The cars in the exhibition show even more graceful lines than before. There is also a somewhat surprising revival of the touring car, which had been practically displaced by the saloon car. Never has there been such a wide choice of cars, cheap to buy and maintain. Pricce over the whole range are considerably reduced.
