EDENDALE CLUB. » A special general meeting of the above club was hcii'l last evening. The president, Mr. J. Bro*',), presided and there was :i good atten'ilar.o.' of members. The president, in opening the meieting, referred t-> the loss bowling had suffered through th>> deaths of Messrs. Thomson, Hardley and Galla?h-»r, and as a mark of respect tlio members stoiid In silei)--'>\ Reference was made to the fact that, in spite of the hard times prevailing, indications were that the coming season v/ouiil be a successful one, and, contrary to general expectations, the membership of the club had increased. Several new members-were present and were welcomed by the president. Trophies won during the past season were presented to the respective winners as follow :—Club championship, R. W. Dean ; runner-up, S. F. R. Sharp. Junior championship, A. J. Annlson; runner-up, T. I). Anderson. First year championship,- K. McConnell. Horspool Cup pairs, L. S. Francis and B. A. Johnson. Handicap singles, L. S. Francis; runner-up, C. J. R. Hill; I'prcentage fours, T. D. Anderson, J. H. Butler, R. Smith a:td C. F. Addison. The club's official opening will be-held on Saturday week.
