SEARCH FOR LOST STUDENTS.
MAYOR'S FUND AMOUNTS TO £465.

The Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, expressed gratification this morning at the response made by the public to his appeal for subscriptions to chow appreciation of the services of those who searched for the missing university students. The fund has now reached £465 4/S. It will be closed to-morrow. Xo further developments were reported to-day concerning the micsing student, Mr. Warwick Stanton. Mrs. Marion M. Bitfgham, a resident of Dannevirke, in forwarding a donation, wrote to the Mayor as follows: "I have great cause to be grateful to those brave men, especially the bushmen from Ohakune, as it was my eon who was lost on Ruapehu during Easter of 1913, and who was found by the eearchers drowned in a small creek. ... I know too well the awful agony of suspense, as I went through it ail."
