"INDIA EVENING."

Under the auspices of the Zenana Bible and Medical Mission an "India Evening" was held at Remuera. Miss I. W. Ireland, one -of the society's missionaries from the New Zealand station at Jaunpur, gave an interesting lantern lecture on the peoples of India and the work being done by the Zenana Bible and Medical Mission among the women and children—particularly the secluded women in their zenanas. Mrs. S. T. Page, Miss Ireland, Miss Dannefaerd, Miss Sims and Miss J. Cultlo wore Indian costumes showing different styles worn by various types of women. Rev. H. S.
