ATHLETICS.
AUCKLAND AMATEUR CLUB.
The 1931 series of winter competitions, conducted by the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club, will be concluded on the Outer Domain on Saturday, at 2 o'clock. The programme will comprise a four-mile steeplechase for the Hedlund Cup, a sprint race, shot putting and discus throwing events. -Although J. W. Savidan has nominated for the competitions, it is yet uncertain whether or not he will compete, as he will be married on Saturday "gftatssea.
