ON 'CHANGE.
FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES. There were no recorded sales on the local Stock Exchange yesterday afternoon —an unusual occurrence —but at this mornjng's call a fair-sized parcel of Government stock, 5% (1937) changed hands. This order completed, buyers dropped back to £99 15/, and to 5/ less for the Inscribed. Tax frees were easier, with sellers at £09 15/ and Inscribed £99 10/. Moturoa Oils had a sale at 5/9, 3d below last week's peak price, after which there were still buyers at 5/6. The banking section showed little alteration, but best buyers for New Zealands dropped 3d lower to £2 7/3, with holders still asking £2 8/6. Standard Insurances were available at £2 5/, and Auckland Gas were asked for at £i 3/. The Noon Call. The easier tone in connection with New Zealand Insurances was evidenced in a sale at the noon call at £1 17/9, 3d below the last transaction on Friday. Buyers for Bank of Australasia advanced their offers to £8 8/, but holders stood out for £8 15/. A sale of Inscribed Stock, 4% (1938) at : £99 2/6 showed a drop of 12/6 since last ; week.
