ACCIDENTS.
POSTMASTER HURT. KNOCKED DOWN BY TAXI-CAB. Knocked down by a taxi-cab in Dominion Road, near Elizabeth Street, about 0.30 lasc evening, Mr. C. W. G. Cook, aged 4."}, postmaster at the Shortland Street Ofliue, suffered severe head injuries, and was admitted to the Auckland Hospital in an unconscious condition. "'"Hij head apparently struck the concrete road when he fell. Mr. Cook, who lives at 28, Mont le Grande Road, Mount Eden, is in a fairly serious condition. ST/RUCK BY MOTOR CYCLE. Concussion was suffered by Miss Sidney Craig, aged 22, of 1, Cobden Street, Newton, through being knocked clown by a motor cycle in Khyber Pass Road about 5.30 last evening. She was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance, and is in a satisfactory condition. CYCLIST HURT. Mr. Arthur Carlyle, wireless operator on H.M.s. Philomel, had his right arm severely gashed when his bicycle was struck by a motor truck in Commerce Street this morning. Mr. Carlyle was attempting to pass between the truck and a motor bus. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance.
