THE WRITERS' CLUB.

The weekly meeting was held on Thursday in the studio, Union Buildings, when a large number of the members gathered to hear a paper on "New Zealand Poetry," given by Mrs. W?olcott. The speaker gave an interesting resume of old and new New Zealand poets. Even now, she said, New Zealand poets have quite a distinctive style of present-day poetry. That of Alan Mulga" and Isabel Maud Peacocke was especially mentioned. After the lecture members read extracts from the works of New Zealand poets.
