HARRIERS.
TECHNICAL COLLEGE 0.8. CLUB. Despite the unsettled weather there was a full muster of the Technical College Old Hoys' Athletic Club from the residence of Mr. Townshend, at Waimana Avenue, Northcote. An exceptionally gruelling course of over eight miles was undertaken, and the runners were tried to the utmost, some of the fences and swamps being particularly difficult. Afternoon tea was very kindly supplied by Mrs. Townshend at the conclusion of the run. Next week the run will be from Ranfurly Road, runners being requested to be at the Manukau Road cud at 2.15 p.m. The run-in resulted :— S. J. Gudseli 1 L. C. Barker 2 \V. J. Murray 3 R. G. Kirkword 4 R. Whongworth 5 G. Kells 6 UNIVERSITY CLUB. An excellent cross-country run was held by the members of the University Harriers' t'tnh on Saturday around the Mount Wellington district. The runners were divided into two packs for the run and then joined up for a race in, over 600 yards. The course covered is quite suitable for the New Zealand cross-country championship to be held in Auckland this season. The handicap race resulted in a close win for N. Cooper, from J. Magee, with A. R. Hill, G. Ross, J. Graham, and C. Copelaud following in that order.
