ISSUE OF WARRANT TO-DAY. DATE FOR POLLING DAY. ANNOUNCEMENT NEXT WEEK. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sir Charles Statham, will to-day issue a warrant to the Clerk of Writs directing the issue of a writ for the Hauraki constituency to fill the existing vacancy. The next procedure will be the issue of a writ for a by-election indicating the dates for the closing of nominations and polling day. Thk is unlikely to be announced till next week.
