Dollar, the winner of the second prize of £500 in the Lucky Dog Art Union. "I will certainly try my luck again." added Mr. Dollar, who is a grocer in business at.Henderson. Mr. Dollar intends using most of the money in his business. He bought the ticket from an old man in front of the Auckland Post Office, and he intends to make a gift to him. A native of Grangemouth, Stirlingshire, Scotland, Mr. Dollar spent 13 vears as-a marine engineer. He first visited New Zealand in'l9l4 as second engineer of the s.s. Verdala, which took troops to Egypt. He has lived in New Zealand for eight years.
