The United States trade returns for 1930 reveal the extent to which the general economic depression has affected the foreign trade of that country. In quantity exports fell by about 19 per cent, as compared with 1929, while imports were less by about 15 per cent. When values are considered the decline is about 27 per cent for exports and about 30 per cent for imports.
