WAIUKU TOWN BOARD.

WATER SUPPLY SCHEME, COMPLETION OF PAYMENTS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIUKU, Tuesday. Mr. J. J. A. James presided at the monthly meeting of the Waiuku Town Board last evening. It was reported that tne earthquake relief fund opened by the board now totalled £340. It was agreed that the fund be closed at the end of the month. The Local Government Loans Board forwarded authority for the raising of the £400 required to complete payments on the water supply scheme at 3f per' cent interest, the Town Board having been unable to obtain the money at s| per cent interest. In response to a circular from the Auckland Automobile Association, the board - expressed itself as strongly of opinion that all money raised for high' ways should be utilised for highways.
