HAMILTON LADIES' CLUB. MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB. A medal match in two grades will be played by members of the Maunsakiek'e Golf Club on the One Tree Hill links on Saturday.

WAIUKU CLUB'S OPENING. There was a large attendance at tlie opening of the Waiuku Club's links for the season 011 Saturday. The feathering Included visitors from neighbouring clubs. The president, Dr. C. IC. liowden, said the course was coming into good order and the prospects for the season were bright. A mixed foursomes match over nine holes was held. The winners were:—Miss Hull and P. Howden, 43—7—313, with Mr. and Mrs. T. It. Bloomfield, 45—11.—37, runnersup.

PAPAKURA CLUB. The Papakura Golf Club will hold its ofticial opening next Saturday. Mixed foursomes will be played, commencing at 1.30 o'clock.

TE AWAMUTU CLUB. The Te Awamutu 'inlf Club's season was officially opened 011 Saturday afternoon, in the presence of a large attendance, including several visitors. Canadian foursomes were played, and the winners were Miss Joyce .TefFery and A. Beatliam, with Mrs. E. Bryant and N. MoAUster runners-up.

SEASON AT THAMES. The Thames fiolf Club opened tis season on Saturday. The weather was very unfavourable. rain falling: until 3 p.m. The captain, Mr. H. IT. Marshall, in the absence of the president, welcomed visitors from the Pacroa Club. In spite of the bad weather there was a larse attendance. A few holes were played after afternoon tea.

HE RECOMMENDED PULMONAS. She came to him with streaming eyes. Her head ached, her throat was on Are. She coughed and sneezed incessantly. "What have you got for a cold?" she said.
