IRISH SWEEP TICKETS.
CONFISCATED BY U.S. CUSTOMS. NEW YORK, April 12. A passenger by the Aquitania, whose luggage was searched because of the discovery of liquor, wag found to possess 1,000,000 tickets for the Irish Free State hospital sweepstake ou the Derby. The money for the tickets, if all have been sold, would have totalled about £500,000, of which £80,000 would have been the seller's profit. The tickets were confiscated under the Customs law forbidding the entrance of a passenger with lottery tokens.
