MR. BROMLEY RESIGNS.
FROM UNEMPLOYMENT BOARD «PRESSURE OF PRIVATE DUTIES." J NOMINATIONS TO BE CALLED. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The resignation of Mr. W. Bromley, one of the workers' representatives on the Unemployment Board, was announced to-day by the Minister of Labour (Hon. S. G. Smith), who sal.l the reason for retirement was pressure of private duties. At Its meeting yesterday the board passed a resolution placing on record its appreciation of Mr. Bromley's services, and stating that his resignation was received with regret. According to the Unemployment Act the vacancy must be filled within ,t\7o months, and it will be necessary to call for nominations from workers' organisations.
