TRANSPORT CONTROL.

EXTENSION OF DISTRICT. (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Friday. The Mayor of Hamilton, Mr. J. R. Fow, presided over a meeting of delegates of local bodies interested in the extension of No. 4 motor- omnibus district, held in Hamilton to-day. i It was decided to recommend to the Minister 'of Transport that the boundaries of the No. 4 district should include the towns of Hamilton, Cambridge, Ngaruawahia, Morrinsville, and Huntly, the portion of the Waipa County from the northern boundary of Te Awamutu to Ngaruawahia, the portion of the Waikato County from Hamilton to Cambridge, and the portion of the Piako, County to the eastern boundary on the Thames Road., The proposed boundaries exclude the towns of Te Aroha, Te Awamutu, and Kihikihi, which were originally included. The meeting agreed that the authority should consist of five representatives of Hamilton, together with the Mayors of Cambridge, Huntly, Ngaruawahia, and Morrinsville, and one representative from each of the three counties.
