a wit * th * « a house by fire at Runciman it was s yesterday that thi owder, Mr. John Herbert, of Auckland, had spertt the night' at the house. Mr. Herbert said this morning that he was not there but that a Mr. Orr, who had been renovating the house r had been "bachinc" there. The latter lost all his effects in the fire.
